Delete Your Account

Understanding what happens when you delete your Haeru account

This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Once you delete your account, all of your data will be permanently removed from our servers.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently erased:

All conversations: Your entire chat history with Haeru, including messages, reflections, and AI-generated insights
Journal entries: All journal entries and personal reflections you've written
Goals and progress: Any goals you've set and your progress tracking data
Account information: Your email address, profile settings, and preferences
Weekly postcards: All generated postcards and summaries

Important Notes About Subscriptions

If you have an active subscription, deleting your Haeru account does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through your device's App Store settings to avoid continued charges.

iOS: Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Haeru → Cancel Subscription

How to Delete Your Account

To delete your account from within the Haeru app:

Open the Haeru app
Go to Settings
Tap Edit Profile
Scroll down and tap Delete Account
Type DELETE to confirm
Tap the delete button to permanently remove your account

Data Retention

Once you confirm account deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our active systems within 24 hours. Some data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being fully purged, as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
